Given THE PROBLEM that I wrote about yesterday, now it is time for THE
SOLUTION. And what is the solution? It is to access the wisdom which built
this field and find a way so it can be passed on to the next generation.
Here's another problem which stands before us--- NLP has been commoditized.
Looking at the internet, people have turned it into a set of techniques and
products. But NLP is so much more than that! In fact, that is not what NLP
is.
So what is NLP? Coming out the Human Potential Movement, NLP is a
user-friendly version for identifying and unleashing your potentials as a
human being. It is a world-class model for effectively communicating (first
to yourself and then others) and it is the world's best model for clear,
precise thinking. And these are the things that today our world desperately
needs.
Given this, I still believe that there is a great future for NLP--- we just
have to get out of our own way and begin to collaborate to spread the
message. We have been doing that in Neuro-Semantics as we have raised the
quality and ethics of NLP. We have done that with the NLP Leadership
Summit. But we must do more.
For those of us who believe that the best of NLP is not behind us; but that
it is ahead of us--- we can make that happen if we are willing to work and
create together. That's what the MetaFest 2026 is about and tomorrow I will
show exactly what that is and what it looks like.
